ROCKFORD – Police charged two men with driving under the influence and other  violations related to a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened Monday.

Police were called to the 5600 block of 11th Street at 12:13 a.m. Monday  after a 2007 Chrysler 300 and 2002 GMC Envoy crashed into a roadside ditch.

Richard Parker, 35, the rear-seat passenger in the car, was pronounced dead  at the scene. Parker died of blunt trauma to the head, according to the  Winnebago County Coroner’s office.

Police say the Envoy driven by 19-year-old Steven Pancyrz of New Milford  rear-ended the Chrysler driven by Kenneth J. Berg of Harvard….MORE
