Here’s a story that pegs the hypocrisy meter.
Indiana state troopers arrested a Seymour, Ind. police officer on DUI charges after he crashed a pickup pulling a D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) trailer Wednesday night.
Police say John Newcomb, 38, was driving the pickup pulling the trailer along Main Street in Salem around 10:30 p.m. when he sideswiped a legally parked vehicle along the road and crashed into a tree.
Investigators say it was quickly apparent alcohol was likely a factor.
