Maryland: State Police at North East found eight St. Patty’s Day booze hounds who were out to drink, drive and kill

St. Patrick’s Day DUI and Warrant Initiative (Cecil County)

Maryland State Police, North East Barrack troopers were on patrol Friday evening with an emphasis to deter and locate impaired drivers.  During the midnight hours, six drivers were arrested for impaired driving in Cecil County by troopers.

When the DUI Saturation Patrol ended, troopers, along with the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office, and the Maryland State Apprehension Team conducted a county-wide warrant sweep in an attempt to locate outstanding fugitives.  During the warrant sweep, troopers arrested five people with open warrants, which closed nine open warrant cases for the North East Barrack.
