New Mexico: after his third state police officer charged with DWI, Chief admits police credibility with public is damaged — if he wants it back he should fire all three!

Authorities recently arrested Officer Daniel Barde and charged him with DWI. State police said Barde’s 3-year-old son in the car with him.
Then authorities said Officer Joe Green was involved in a motorcycle accident where alcohol may have been involved. Police are waiting for Green’s blood alcohol results.
Most recently, police arrested 13-year veteran Matt Vigil and charged him with DWI.
“The choices these three individuals made has impacted our ability to meet our mission on a statewide basis,” Shilling said.
Shilling said that mission is to severely cut down on drunken drivers.
“Our credibility has suffered because of the choices those three individuals made,” Shilling said. ….MORE
