NEW YORK: State Police report DWI arrests include Jordan Povoski in March 2022

The New York State Police report the following DWI arrests:

On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, New York State Police conducted a traffic stop on South Hamilton Street in the town of Erwin. The operator, Jordan T. Povoski, age 25, failed multiple roadside sobriety tests and was transported to SP Painted Post. 

Povoski was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and other traffic violations. Povoksi was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Erwin Court.

Tammy’s bad breath leads to arrest

On March 11th, 2022, New York State Troopers arrested Tammy Denison, 63, of Cassadaga, for Driving While Intoxicated. Denison was pulled over for committing a traffic violation on Stockton-Hartfield Road and after failing several SFSTs, Denison was placed under arrest. Denison was transported to SP Fredonia where she provided a breath sample of .10. Denison was then processed, issued tickets and released. Denison is scheduled to appear in the town of Stockton Court next month.

Won’t be grateful to be dead on weed; Shamir tagged with DWI

On March 8th, 2022, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Shamir Nagle, 19, of Erie, PA, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Nagle was pulled over on I-86 in Stow for speeding and after failing several SFSTs, Nagle was placed under arrest. Nagle was transported to SP Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of cannabis. Nagle provided a blood sample at UPMC Chautauqua and was later processed at SP Jamestown. Nagle was released with traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the town of North Harmony Court next month.

On March 7th, 2022, New York State Troopers arrested David George, 62, of Fredonia, for Driving While Intoxicated. George was pulled over for failing to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Prospect Street and Route 20 in Fredonia and after failing several SFSTs, George was placed under arrest. George was transported to SP Fredonia where he provided a breath sample of .11. George was then processed, issued tickets and released. George is scheduled to appear in the village of Fredonia Court later in the month.

New DWI is a felony for Joseph Corsaro

On March 2nd, 2022, New York State Troopers arrested Joseph Corsaro, 37, of Silver Creek, for Felony Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Corsaro was pulled over on McAllister Road in Fredonia for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, Corsaro was placed under arrest. Corsaro was transported to SP Fredonia where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be impaired by drugs. As Corsaro’s driving record revealed a conviction for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs within the preceding 10 years, the charge was upgraded to a felony. Corsaro provided a blood sample at Brooks Memorial Hospital and was later processed at SP Fredonia. Corsaro was released with traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the town of Pomfret Court later in the month.

Dipsy Doodle driving caught attention of trooper

On March 5, 2022, Troopers out of SP Clarence arrested Deena L. Elliott., 47, of Buffalo, NY, for Driving While Intoxicated. 

During a traffic stop on Genesee Street in the town of Cheektowaga, Elliott was exhibiting signs of impairment. Troopers determined Elliott had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition.  Elliott had failed standardized field sobriety tests.  She was arrested, transported, and processed at SP Clarence, where he refused to submit a chemical test.  Elliott was released with appearance tickets for the town of Cheektowaga Court, where she is due to appear at a later date.

Raymond Baran stars once again in a DWI arrest

On February 26, 2021, Troopers out of SP Clarence arrested Raymond M. Baran., 36, of Buffalo, NY, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.

Troopers responded to Transit Road in the town of Clarence to check the welfare of a male stopped in the roadway.  Baran was exhibiting signs of impairment. Troopers determined Baran had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition.  Baran had failed standardized field sobriety tests.  Baran was also found to be in possession of Xanax pills not prescribed to him.  He was arrested and transported to SP Clarence where he refused to submit to a chemical test.

Baran was released with appearance tickets for the town of Clarence court, where he is due to appear at a later date.

On February 26, 2022, SP Olean Troopers arrested Cynthia D. Blaske, 53, of Cuba, NY for Driving While Intoxicated-Previous Convictions Within the Past 10 Years.

Troopers investigating a personal injury vehicle accident on South Nine Mile Road in the town of Allegany determined Blaske had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition.

Blaske was arrested and released with an appearance ticket for Allegany Town Court, where she is due to appear later this month.
