CARMEL — A Pawling Village Court justice faces a second driving while intoxicated charge in less than three years, police said.
Carmel police charged Robert Apple, 56, with felony DWI and failing to take a field test.
Police received a complaint of a possibly intoxicated driver, which lead to Apple’s arrest after he failed several field sobriety tests on Route 6 Friday at 4:10 p.m., police said.
Apple was arraigned by Carmel Town Justice Joseph Spofford and released to his attorney. He is due back in court Aug. 6 at 6 p.m.
