North Carolina: Ashville Police Chief Anderson sprang his son from prior jam, now Chad Anderson faces DWI charge

ASHEVILLE — 2013-08-26— A state trooper charged city police chief William Anderson’s son with driving while impaired following a wreck early Sunday in southern Buncombe County.

Chad Anderson, 22, was driving a 2013 Ford passenger car when he flipped the vehicle shortly before 3 a.m. on Mills Gap Road near the Cane Creek Road intersection, according to a warrant at the Buncombe County magistrate’s office.

The accident comes six months after city police charged Anderson with leaving the scene of an accident on Montford Avenue, where police say he wrecked his father’s Pontiac. He initially told officers he was not driving. ….MORE
