Oregon: Grand Jury indicts Keith Mitchell in high-speed alcohol related crash that killed his passenger

Update: Fatal crash on Portland Highway
Update: According to the Portland Police Bureau, on October 6, 2011 at 9:41 p.m. the Major Crash Team responded to a fatal crash in the 4700 block of Northeast Portland Highway. In that crash, the passenger in the vehicle at fault was killed 20-year-old Randy Walraven. The driver of the BMW, 20-year-old Keith Wayne Mitchell was badly injured.
Through reconstruction of the crash it was determined that Mr. Mitchell’s BMW was traveling at 113 mph at the time of crash [posted speed limit is 45 mph]. The completed investigation was presented to a Multnomah County Grand Jury who indicted Mr. Mitchell on the following charges: Manslaughter in the Second Degree, Reckless Driving and 3 counts of Assault in the Forth Degree.
Today, Wednesday, December 7, 2011 Mr. Mitchell turned himself and he was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center and his bail was set at $260,000.00.
