Leonard Dale Blackwell, a 31-year-old reserves sheriff’s deputy in Hamilton, called his parents May 14, 1993, and made dinner plans. He drove his wife and 18-month-old daughter Elizabeth out to see them, ate and was driving the family back when he was T-boned by another driver.
The car seat carrying his baby girl slammed against the window. She got a cut to her forehead. His wife suffered a broken arm.
