Texas: Forth Worth Police Officer Domingo Martinez quits after DWI conviction; Chief promises future cops busted for DWI will be canned

FORT WORTH — 2013-10-03 — A Fort Worth officer has resigned from the police department following his recent conviction for driving while intoxicated.

Domingo N. Martinez was sentenced by County Criminal Judge Billy Mills to 18 months probation after being convicted by a jury of DWI, a Class B misdemeanor, on Sept. 23, court records show.

If he violates the terms of his probation, he faces up to 60 days in jail.
