HOUSTON— The woman who allegedly ran over two children who were trick-or-treating on Halloween night has been charged with DWI.
Police say Katherine Ann Sanford, 52, hit the boy and girl with her SUV when they tried to cross Sweetwater and Saddle Rock in north Houston Wednesday night.
Neighbors said the children ran ahead of the adults who were with them.
The boy went airborne when he was hit, according to witnesses.
“The kid was up on the hood, and he fell into the street,” said neighbor Burton Hayslip. “I seen him tumble in front of the car.” …MORE
