Vermont: off duty cop found zoned out on interstate in his red truck; busted for DUI

COLCHESTER — An off-duty Winooski police officer, who was found slumped over the wheel of his truck in the median of Interstate 89 in Colchester, has been ordered into Vermont Superior Court in Burlington on a charge of driving while under the influence, Vermont State Police said Saturday.Cpl. Jason Nokes, 40, of Milton was found unresponsive behind the wheel of his truck at about 4 p.m. Friday, State Police Sgt. Jim Deegan said. He said Colchester Rescue transported Nokes to Fletcher Allen Health Care for precautionary reasons.
Deegan said state police in Williston received a complaint of a red truck swerving as it traveled north on I-89 in Colchester. The truck was reported to stop in the middle of the highway at one point ….MORE
