California: Melissa Turley fused her Ford into rear of Lexus; charged with DUI

Palm Desert, Calif. — According to Palm Desert Police, on Thursday, July 31, 2014 Officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to the area of Portola Ave and Quicksilver Drive in reference to a two-vehicle traffic collision.

The investigation revealed a Ford Fusion was traveling north on Portola Ave approaching Quicksilver Drive when the vehicle rear-ended a Lexus sedan.

Melissa Turley, age 50 of Cathedral City, was found to be driving her vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and was arrested.

She was booked into the Riverside County Jail located in the city of Indio after receiving medical clearance from a local hospital.

Melissa Turley suffered no injuries as a result of the collision. The occupant of the Lexus sedan, was also not injured as a result of this collision.
