Florida: Defense attorney for accused DUI killer says key witness has free lawyer provided by lawyer for family of victim

WEST PALM BEACH – The first big bombshell in the DUI manslaughter trial against polo mogul John Goodman came this morning in the form of a revelation from defense attorney Roy Black that a key witness in the case had been provided a free lawyer with ties to the law firm representing the victim’s parents in a wrongful death suit.
Lisa Pembleton spent the morning testifying about the night Goodman came into her trailer and asked to use her phone nearly an hour after the crash that killed 23-year-old Scott Wilson.
Prosecutor Ellen Roberts during her questioning went through each of Goodman’s defenses, asking her if Goodman told her anything about a possible car malfunction or if he complained of any pain or told her he’d been drinking after the accident. ….MORE
