Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reports that Deputies rounded up two repeat offender DWI bozos; Lonnie Lebouef and Dwight Southall
When the next Judge lets these two bozos out of jail again, will they kill your family?
Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced two men were arrested for their third and fifth DWI offenses over the weekend. Lonnie Lebouef (age 39) of Bridge City and Dwight Southall (age 47) of Belle Rose were each charged in separate incidents.
At around on Friday, August 4, deputies responded to a gas station in Bayou Blue in reference to a driver having fallen asleep behind the wheel. Deputies made contact with the driver, identified as Lonnie Lebouef, and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage from him. Lebouef was exhibiting signs of possible intoxication, and he admitted to having consumed several alcoholic beverages prior to driving. Lebouef assured deputies he was not drunk, but he refused to submit to a field sobriety test or a breathalyzer test.
The Sheriff reports that Deputies learned Lebouef was convicted of his fourth DWI offense in January 2015, and he did not have a valid driver’s license. Deputies obtained a warrant for a blood test, and the results are pending. Lebouef was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. He was booked with DWI (4th and Subsequent Offenses) and no driver’s license, and he was booked as a fugitive of Jefferson Parish. His bond amount for the Lafourche Parish charges is set at $105,000.
Police say that during the early morning hours of Saturday, August 5, 2017, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle along Saint Mary Street in Thibodaux and identified the driver as Dwight Southall. Deputies detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Southall, and he was exhibiting signs of possible intoxication. Southall refused to submit to a field sobriety test or a breathalyzer, and deputies obtained a warrant for a blood test. Due to two prior DWI arrests, Southall was arrested and charged with DWI (3rd Offense), driving under suspension, and failure to dim headlights. His bond is set at $27,100.
