Trooper Staci Carpenter responded to a crash in Jonesport where Frank Hartford (26) of Jonesport was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol.
Trooper Michael Southard responded to a crash in Franklin  on Sept. 23, 2012, where Bruce Merchant (45) was transported to the hospital in Ellsworth. A blood test was taken and Merchant was summonsed for operating under the influence of alcohol and violation of bail.

10-21 0056 hrs: Tr. Johnston arrested 37 year old Brad Inforati from Dedham on Rte 1A in Dedham for OUI.
10-2 0219 hrs: Tr. Coolen arrested 21 year old Jason Kaake from Phippsburg for OUI out of a motor vehicle crash on I-95 in Bangor.
10-3 1711 hrs: Tr. Vittum arrested 51 year old Douglas Dostie of Clinton for OUI and OAS on I-95 in Carmel.
10-6 2141 hrs: Tr. Bonnevie arrested 61 year old Lloyd Hussey from Alton for OUI out of a motor vehicle crash in Bradley.
9-28 1157 hrs: Tr. Johnston charged 35 year old Star Maheu with OUI drugs after she was reported as erratic operator on I-95 in Bangor.
9-22 1706 hrs: Tr. Cookson arrested 60 year old Sidney Ritchie from Stetson with OUI.
Maine State Police OWI Report Oct. 28, 2012 Troop G
09/28/12 – Trooper Doughty covered a hit and run collision on the turnpike in Saco. 34 year old Amir SHIRAZI of Kennebunk, ME drove right into the rear end of a Toyota Venza driven by 63 year old Guy DERAIL of Rouses Point, NY. DERAIL was accompanied by his wife. DERAIL was northbound in Lane 3 when SHIRAZI came up behind him fast and ran into the rear of DERAIL’S car before fleeing the scene. SHIRAZI was located in Saco with the assistance of the Saco Police Department. SHIRAZI was arrested on an outstanding warrant from a domestic assault incident and violation of bail conditions. SHIRAZI was also arrested for OUI and leaving the scene of a property damage crash. SHIRAZI refused to submit to a breath test.
On Friday, 10/05/12, Tr. D. Alexander arrested James DUNN, 67, of South Hadley, MA for OUI in Wells. DUNN was a .XX BAC.
Trooper Phil Alexander arrested Eric MARTINEZ, 28, of Lowell, MA for OUI after stopping him southbound in York after a motorist pulled up behind Trooper Phil Alexander, who was parked at the York Toll, and advised that the vehicle MARTINEZ was operating had been all over the road and pointed it out as it passed by. MARTINEZ denied consuming any alcohol and stated he had only taken Nyquil. He failed FST’S, was taken into custody, and subsequently tested a .xxx BAC.

On 10-19-12 Tr. Rogers responded to Peace Pipe Shores in Litchfield for a family fight involving a sister and brother. Richard Lefebvre (62) left the residence in a motor vehicle. Tr. Rogers stopped him and arrested him for OUI.
On 10-19-12 Tr. MacDonald and Tr. Porter investigated a traffic complaint on Route 3. Barbara Bregman (65) of New York was arrested for OUI.
On 10-20-12 Sgt. Greeley of the Waldo SO, Cpl. Hills and Tr. Porter investigated an accident on Route 131 in Searsmont. The operator, John Lavway (40), was located a short distance away on Route 173. Lavway was charged with OUI.
On 10-11-12 Tr. Robinson received a report of erratic operation on the Kinderhook Road in Randolph. Contact was made with Bruce Crosby (64) of West Boothbay Harbor, who was summonsed for Operating Under the Influence.
On 10-5-12, Tr. Leonard responded to a motor vehicle that had gone off the Twin Pond Rd in China. Nicole Thibideau (26) had been driving her Chevy Uplander (ME PC SOBER) when she went off the road and became stuck. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, she was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence.
On 9-23-12 Tr. Macdonald stopped a vehicle on Quaker Hill Rd. in Unity after it failed to dim its high beams. Tr. Macdonald determined the male operator, Alexander Sheldon, was operating under the influence. Sheldon was charged with operating under the influence and operating without a license.

Trooper Physic was on patrol when he observed a vehicle not come to a complete stop at the stop sign. Trooper Physic initiated a traffic stop. Trooper Physic learned from the driver he had 1 beer. Trooper Physic put the driver through standardized field sobriety tests, additional tests, and determined the driver was impaired. Trooper Physic placed the driver under arrest for OUI and was taken to Lewiston Police Department. The driver took an intoxilyzer test with .10 grams of alcohol per 210 L of breath. While Trooper Physic was transporting the driver, Trooper Physic observed a vehicle operating driving down the center of two lanes. When Trooper Physic looked in his side mirror, he observed the vehicle all over the road. Trooper Physic turned on the vehicle, caught up to it, and initiated a traffic stop. Trooper Physic learned from the driver he had been drinking. Trooper Physic put the driver through standardized field sobriety tests and determined the driver was impaired. The driver was placed under arrest for OUI. Trooper Pappas transported and conducted an intoxilyzer test with the 2nd driver with .22 grams of alcohol per 210L of breath.
Trooper Maguire after investigation arrested a New Gloucester woman for OUI 2nd Offense and OAS 2nd Offense after she transported her daughter to GNG Middle School while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. Her BAC was .19% at 0930.
Trooper Physic was on patrol when he observed a vehicle not stop at the stop sign. Trooper Physic stopped the vehicle. During the interview, Trooper Physic had the driver step out due to the smell of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Trooper Physic put the driver through a battery of SFSTS. The driver failed all tests and Trooper Physic placed him under arrest for OUI. The driver took an intoxilyzer result of .17 Bac.
Trooper Physic was on patrol when he observed a vehicle operating erratically. Trooper Physic initiated a traffic stop. Trooper Physic learned from the 60 year old driver he had been drinking. Trooper Physic put the driver through standardized field sobriety tests, additional tests, and determined the driver was impaired. Trooper Physic placed the driver under arrest for OUI and was taken to Androscoggin County Jail. The driver took a intoxilyzer test with a .17 grams of alcohol per 210 L of breath. Trooper Wing was called to a crash in Wales. An investigation found the female operator to have been drinking whiskey and tried to pass a school bus entering S-Turns with a truck on coming. She went off the roadway and crossed back over to oncoming lane and went into the ditch and road the ditch up the road before coming to rest. Field sobriety was done and she was found to be impaired. She also tried to throw her alcohol in the woods but witnesses on scene watched her and pointed it out. Found was a pint size whiskey bottle half full and 5 empty nip bottles of whiskey. She was arrested for OUI and transported to ACJ where her intox showed she was a .15 BAC.
Trooper Wing stopped a vehicle for erratic operation on I-95 on his way back from a Color Guard detail. The subject was found to have been drinking and had MARIJUANA and PARAPHERNALIA in the vehicle. Field sobriety was conducted however during Walk and Turn the subject stopped and refused to continue. He was arrested and transported by Trooper Teachout to jail since Trooper Farley and all the color guard gear was in Trooper Wing’s vehicle. The subject was summonsed for civil possession of MARIJUANA and paraphernalia and OUI as Trooper Teachout said the subject had a .11 BAC.
Trooper Physic was on Turnpike when he noticed a vehicle operating erratically. Trooper Physic initiated a traffic stop. As Trooper Physic was talking with the driver, he could smell the odor of intoxicants over extremely heavy cigarette smell from the occupants. Trooper Physic put the driver through a battery of standardized field sobriety tests in which the driver failed. Trooper Physic placed the driver under arrest for OUI. The driver was taken to Androscoggin County Jail where the driver took an intoxilyzer test with a .11 Bac result. Trooper Physic was assisted by Trooper Cloutier.
Trooper Wing and Trooper Welch responded to a call for a vehicle off the road. It was determined the operator was drinking liquor and put through modified SFSTs due to the subjects physical problems. He was impaired and arrested for OUI. He was .10 BrAC and revoked. He was charged with OUI class C, aggravated OAR with priors class C, failure to register m/v and attaching false plates class E.
