Everett Bergren, the victim of a car accident that killed his grandmother and put a man in jail on a drunk driving conviction, has passed away.
A post on Everett’s CaringBridge site says that “Everett has left us for Heaven. Tonight, when you look up at the stars, the brightest of them will be our Everett.”
The post also asks to honor the memories of Everett and his grandmother by being responsible behind the wheel.
Everett, 13 years old at the time, was critically injured when Hawk Edwards crashed into a vehicle driven by Everett’s grandmother, Paula Bergren, on January 19th, 2012.
Edwards was sentenced to 8 years in prison.
