Man Arrested in Fatal Crash Investigation
North Las Vegas, Nevada – According to North Las Vegas police a Las Vegas man is dead following a crash that occurred on Feb. 12, 2017, in North Las Vegas.
On Sunday, February 12, 2017, at about 6:45 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Centennial Parkway and Losee Road regarding a traffic collision involving two vehicles. A 56-year-old man was transported to UMC Trauma where he later died.Â
The preliminary investigation indicates a black Chrysler 300 was traveling westbound on Centennial Parkway when it failed to stop for a red light. The Chrysler collided with a black Volkswagen Tiguan that was traveling northbound on Losee.  Investigators believe the Chrysler was traveling at a high rate of speed. Impairment also appears to be a factor in this case. Two passengers from the Volkswagen were transported to UMC with non-life threatening injuries. Â
The driver and sole occupant of the Chrysler, Alex Sadler was taken into police custody. Â He was later booked at the Las Vegas City Jail on felony charges including DUI resulting in death and two counts of DUI with substantial bodily harm as well as other traffic related offenses. Â
The decedent’s identity and cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s office.
