DUI Arrest Tops Off Night for Matthew Ayers
MOUNT OLIVE, N.J. (Sept. 25, 2012) — While on patrol on Sept. 22, 2012 at 1:07 am, Mount Olive Township Police report that in the Budd Lake section of town Officer Anthony Gardner observed a 1999 Hyundai traveling on Route 46 that was failing to maintain a lane of travel. A motor vehicle stop was conducted after the vehicle turned onto Mount Olive Road at which time the driver was identified as Matthew Ayers. During the course of the motor vehicle stop, Officer Gardner detected that Ayers was impaired due to alcohol consumption. Field sobriety tests were conducted at which time Ayers was arrested and transported to police headquarters. At police headquarters Ayers submitted to a chemical breath test and was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to maintain a lane of travel. He was released to a sober driver pending a court appearance.

DUI driver asked cop for directions; then it went downhill

 According to Mount Olive Township Police, on September 22nd at
1:53 AM a 2008 Hyundai operated by William Kohaut II stopped
 at the intersection of Sandshore Road and Route 46.
 A Mount Olive Police officer was on scene regulating traffic for a
construction company that was working in the roadway. The officer
 detected that Kohaut exhibited signs of impairment due to
alcohol consumption as he asked the officer questions via his
open window. Officer Gumann arrived on scene to assist at which
 time Kohaut became argumentative, rolled up his vehicle’s windows
 and refused to exit his vehicle. Fearing that Kohaut was about to
leave the scene of the motor vehicle stop additional officers
 responded to the scene. Patrol removed Kohaut from the
 vehicle at which time it was confirmed that he was impaired due to
 alcohol consumption. He then refused to participate in standardized
 field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Police say that Kohaut had two 20-year-old passengers in the vehicle.
During the course of the stop it was determined that the passengers,
identified as Kevin McSweeney and Daniel Martino were in possession
 of open alcoholic beverages inside of the vehicle. Both McSweeney and Martino
were also arrested and transported to police headquarters. At police
headquarters the passengers were issued summons for underage possession
 of alcoholic beverages and were released on their own recognizance pending
 court appearances. While at police headquarters, the driver, Kohaut
refused to submit to a chemical breath test. He was charged with driving
 while intoxicated, failure to submit to a chemical breath test, and reckless
 driving. He was released to a sober driver and has a pending court appearance.
Jacob Vnenchak charged with DWI after rear-end crash

Mount Olive Police report that on Sept. 22, 2012 at 1:24 pm they responded
 to the Mount Olive Public Library for a report of a motor vehicle crash
with injuries. The investigation revealed that Jacob Vnenchak was
operating a 2002 Jeep Cherokee when he rear-ended a 2009 Jeep Patriot
that was operated by Myra Garcia. The crash occurred as Garcia
was slowing to make a left turn into the library parking lot. As a
result of the crash a 6 year old passenger of the Jeep operated by
Garcia suffered an injury and required medical attention. The
6 year old passenger was transported to St. Clare’s hospital. During
 the course of the investigation patrol determined that Vnenchak
was impaired due to alcohol consumption. Vnenchak failed
standardized field sobriety tests at which time he was transported
to police headquarters. He refused to submit to a chemical breath
test and was charged with assault by automobile, driving while
intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving,
and following too closely. Bail was set at $5,000 with a 10% option
 at which time Vnenchak posted bail and was released pending
 a court appearance.

Ismael Hernandez=Guzman faces DWI charges

Police report that on Sept. 23, 2012 at 8:17 pm, while on patrol in the
Flanders section of Mount Olive Township, N.J., Officer Marianne
Wurtemberg observed a 1998 Toyota traveling south
on Route 206 that was failing to maintain a lane of travel. A motor vehicle
 stop was conducted at which time the driver was identified as Ismael
Hernandez-Guzman. During the course of the stop Hernandez-Guzman
 exhibited signs of impairment due to alcohol consumption.
Field sobriety tests were administered at which time
Hernandez-Guzman was arrested and transported to police
headquarters. At police headquarters Hernandez-Guzman
submitted to a chemical breath test and was charged with
driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to
maintain a lane. He was released to a sober driver and has
 a pending court appearance.
