ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — James Ruiz faces 40 years behind bars after pleading guilty to killing two sisters in a drunken driving accident.
Ruiz didn’t have much to say in court on Thursday afternoon after he admitted guilt in the deaths of Del Lynn and Deshuana Peshlakai.
The accident happened at a busy Santa Fe Intersection nearly a year and a half ago, but the Peshlakai family said time hasn’t done much to heal the wounds. Action 7 News spoke with the family in June when they hosted a memorial bike right through the same intersection…..MORE
