Joe Gallegos, alleged to have been high on drugs when he killed Delandre Pioche

FARMINGTON — Police today identified the woman killed Wednesday night on Main Street and Court Avenue by an alleged drunk driver as Delandra Pioche, 32, of Farmington.
Pioche was picking something up in the road at 5:15 p.m. when Joe Gallegos, 43, allegedly ran her over with a Ford Explorer and killed her, police said.
Witnesses told police Pioche was thrown into the air and then run over.
Several people told police the woman was dragged more than 30 feet before the vehicle stopped, according to court documents.
