North Carolina: EMT out to drum up business! Cops say he ran stop sign & caused crash, charged with DWI

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. —
A Cleveland County paramedic faces an impaired driving charge after state troopers say he drove past a stop sign and slammed into an oncoming car Saturday.
A N.C. Highway Patrol report states that Travis Nathaniel Emery didn’t stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Hamrick Road and Sulphur Springs Road near Patterson Springs. Emery went through the intersection and struck a car that was traveling south head-on, the report states.
Highway Patrol Sgt. Tony Luckadoo said both Emery and the woman in the car he struck were listed as injured and both were taken to Cleveland Regional Medical Center. ….MORE
