EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WPRI) – A Rhode Island lawmaker who’s been at the center of controversy this year admits he was snared in a DUI checkpoint in Connecticut. House Minority Leader Robert Watson (R-East Greenwich-West Greenwich) was among a number of people arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at a checkpoint Friday in East Haven, Conn. Police say Watson’s been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence. ….MORE
