TENNESSEE: Johnson City Police tracked down fleeing DUI driver Jordan Reece to his hiding place inside dumpster

According to Johnson City Police, on 04/29/2019 at approximately 12:35 am officers of the Johnson City Police Dept. arrested 22-year-old Jordan Reece, 527 Washington Ave. Johnson City, TN, on charges of DUI with a child in the vehicle, Felony Evading Arrest, and 2 counts Reckless Endangerment.

Officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by Reece, but he initially refused to stop the vehicle. Once the vehicle was stopped, Reece fled on foot. When he ran, Reece abandoned two passengers, one of them a 16 year old female. One of the passengers was able to bring the vehicle to a complete stop and secure it from rolling after Reece fled the driver’s seat. After a search of the area, officers found Reece hiding under some trash in a dumpster two blocks from the scene. Reece is being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond and is set to appear in the Washington County Sessions Court on 04/29/2019 at 10:30 a.m.
