Kinton Bruce ran like a little girl and left driver he hit dying in the wreck; charged with DUI

CHANDLER, AZ (05/08/2017) – Chandler police say one person is dead and two others are injured after a DUI-involved crash in Chandler. Police have identified the suspected drunk driver who caused the crash.
According to Chandler PD at around 10 p.m. Saturday near Ray Road and the 101, the suspect vehicle, operated by 27-year-old Kinton Bruce, was driving eastbound on Ray Road when he entered the intersection at a high rate of speed.
Bruce ran the red light for the southbound Price Road intersection and struck a vehicle driving northbound on Price Road.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision.
One person died at the scene. Two others were taken to the hospital.
Police say after the collision, Bruce fled from his vehicle on foot and was apprehended about 1/4 mile away by a good Samaritan. MORE
Bruce told police he left the scene because he had anxiety after being in the incident and that he never thought to check on the welfare of the victim

Bruce was administered field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI. Bruce was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of manslaughter, hit-and-run, and two counts of endangerment.
Bruce told police he left the scene because he had anxiety after being in the incident and that he never thought to check on the welfare of the victim. MORE
A preliminary breath test used on Bruce showed that his blood alcohol content read .255.
Judi McCuller Kurtz, a nurse who lived in Chandler, died at the hospital after coward Kinton Bruce ran from the scene of the crash and was chased and tackled by bystanders.
