California: Monica Reyes charged by Coachella Police with DUI after crashing into parked car

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the following arrests took place:

On Tuesday, July 08, 2014 at 1:45 A.M. the Coachella Police Department responded to the 48100 block of Estrella Pedro reference a traffic collision.  A vehicle driven by Monica Reyes (age 34 of Coachella) collided with a parked, unoccupied vehicle.  Reyes was arrested for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and taken to a local area hospital as a precautionary okay to book prior being transferred to the Riverside County jail in Indio.

On Monday, July 07, 2014 at 2:26 A.M. the La Quinta Police Department responded to the main guard gate at PGA West regarding a female who advised security she had passed out on the golf course and had dried blood on her face and no corresponding injury. The female knew she had previously been with a male, later identified as Gary Osborn (73 years old) of La Quinta. Simultaneously, security located Osborn passed out on the grass in front of a residence on the 55-200 block of Big Spring inside the PGA West Country Club.

A golf cart was located next to Osborn, which had collided with a tree.  There was also fresh collision damage to the cart barn garage door at the residence. The preliminary investigation revealed that the location of the collision was not the female’s or Osborn’s residence.  Both the female and Osborn were not injured.  Osborn was taken to a local area hospital for a precaution prior to being booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio.
