Jerome Blasingime jailed for DUI vehicular homicide for killing Rodley Cornell in crash
On April 28th, 2016, Jerome Grant Blasingime, 20, of Canon City, was arrested on the following charges related to the earlier reported fatal accident in Rockvale, Colorado, where Rodley Cornell, 22, of Florence died as a result of the accident.
The other two occupants of the ford Taurus, Ashley Drake, 19, of Penrose, and Summer Middleton, 18, of Pueblo West, were transported via flight for life with serious injuries.
The pedestrian, James McKissack, 58, of Rockvale was also transported via flight for life with serious injuries.
All three of those parties still remain hospitalized with serious injuries.
Jerome Blasingime is being held at the Fremont County Jail on an NO BOND hold for the following charges:

On April 25th, 2016 at 21:16 hours Fremont County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Churchill, in Rockvale, for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, Deputies found a 2001 ford Taurus and a 1999 dodge truck stuck together due to impact.
Deputies advised that there were numerous people in the ford Taurus and one pedestrian that were injured and needed medical treatment.
One of the passengers in the ford Taurus, Rodley Wayne Cornell, 22, of Florence, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All of the other occupants of the ford Taurus were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The pedestrian was also transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
It was determined that the ford Taurus was traveling southbound on Churchill when it struck the 1999 dodge truck that was parked unoccupied in the 1100 block of Churchill.
FCSO Deputies with assistance from Florence Police Department and Colorado State Patrol had the 1100 block of Churchill in Rockvale closed for hours for the crash investigation.
