Pinellas Park Police report that on December 29th, at approximately 12:46 AM, officers responded to the intersection of 64th St and Park Blvd for a just occurred crash involving two vehicles. Before the impact, the car determined to be driven by Kaylyn Coston was observed traveling recklessly and at a high rate of speed along Park Blvd.
The reckless manner was viewed by a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Deputy who could not catch up to the vehicle to attempt to stop the car. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Deputy located the crash just after the occurrence and called for medical personnel and our agency’s assistance.
Through investigation, it was learned Kaylyn Coston was traveling west on Park Blvd at a high rate of speed, approaching the intersection of 64th Way. At the time, Keondrae Miller had stopped at the stop sign for southbound 64th Way to cross Park Blvd.
Keondrae Miller pulled out in front of Kaylyn Coston, whose vehicle struck Keondrae’s vehicle’s driver side. Both drivers and a passenger in Keondrae’s vehicle sustained severe injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Keondrae died as a result of the injuries suffered in the crash once at the hospital.
During the investigation, Kaylyn Coston had signs of alcohol impairment, and a DUI investigation was completed. Kaylyn has been placed under arrest for DUI Manslaughter, DUI with serious bodily injury, DWLSR involving death, DWLSR involving serious bodily injury, and Violation of Probation for DUI.
Police say that Kaylyn Coston was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu and Keondrae Miller was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt.
