ROCKFORD – Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police say a 25-year-old suspect faces  multiple traffic charges after he attempted to run from a traffic stop, crashing  into three vehicles and killing a 54-year-old woman.

Dennis J. Mikosz, of Belvidere, was arrested on charges of DUI, aggravated  fleeing to elude police, operating an uninsured vehicle, improper lane use,  expired registration, failure to signal when required, leaving the scene and  failure to report an accident, failure to give aid, improper overtaking on the  right, improper turn, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and  disobeying traffic control devices.

North Mulford Road between Guilford Road and Strathmoor Drive re-opened  about 840 a.m. today after it had remained closed overnight for the  investigation and crash reconstruction.
