Kentucky: Gary Fletcher led police on high-speed chase and ended up behind bars on DUI charge

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A high speed chase in Pikeville ended with a man behind bars Thursday night.
According to Kentucky State Police, Post 9 in Pikeville received a call reporting a possible DUI in driving northbound on US 23.
KSP Trooper Jamie Rose located the vehicle, a 1995 Honda Civic, near Shelbiana. Tpr. Rose activated his emergency equipment and conducted a traffic stop.
After the vehicle stopped, Tpr. Rose approached the car, but the driver accelerated and pulled onto U.S. 23 northbound fleeing the area.
Trp. Rose, along with Trooper Marcum, pursued the Honda for eight miles. As the driver fled, Sgt. Chris Hollon and Detective Jimmy Anderson responded to the area to assist in traffic control. ….MORE
