A Nicholasville man who was allegedly driving under the influence when he wrecked a vehicle — killing a passenger riding with him — has now been charged with second-degree manslaughter.

Jeffrey Tuggle, 51, wrecked along Frankfort Ford Road Monday afternoon. The passenger in his vehicle, 56-year-old Marlene Chaffin of Nicholasville, was ejected from the vehicle during the wreck, and the vehicle then rolled on top of her. Chaffin was airlifted to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.
