Maryland: Zachary Alton Tifford greeted by Deputy on Ocean Gateway; DUI arrest kicked off his holiday

Easton — 2013-09-03   – According to Lt. John Bollinger of the Talbot County Sheriff’s Department, on August 30, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a green Honda Accord on Ocean Gateway near Dover Road for traffic offenses.

Upon contact with the operator, the Deputy detected the odor of burning marijuana coming from the operator and vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and paraphernalia for inhaling marijuana in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

Police say the operator was the lone occupant and identified as Zachary Alton Titford, 35 of Baltimore, MD. Titford was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol. Titford was released upon signing the charging documents.
