DUI (Arrest) – On Monday, April 20, 2015, at 7:44 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe responded to Auto Zone, located at 319 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of an intoxicated male in the store. Upon Officer Keefe’s arrival, he learned that the intoxicated male left the store operating a motor vehicle. A description was provided and the male subject was soon located in the Lacey Mall Parking lot, 348 Route 9 North. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 37-year-old James Argros of Evergreen Street in Gardenville, Pennsylvania, for DUI. He was transported to the Berkeley Township Police Department for processing. He was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Unregistered Vehicle, and Failing to Exhibit an Insurance Card. The vehicle James Argros was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI (Arrest) – On Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 1:40 a.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 near Game Farm Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 23-year-old Kevin Sheehy of Laurelwood Drive in Forked River, for DUI. Kevin Sheehy was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Following to Closely. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

DUI and Warrant (Arrest) – On Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at 10:28 a.m., this agency received a call for an erratic driver who was just involved in a hit and run traffic accident. A description of the vehicle and the direction of travel were provided. A short time later, the vehicle was located on Brentwood Place in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 34-year-old Amanda Malinowski of Brentwood Place in Forked River, for DUI. In addition, she had two (2) outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrants in the amount of $250 each. Amanda Malinowski was later released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, DUI with a Minor Passenger, Reckless Driving, Driving with a Suspended License, Unregistered Vehicle, and Uninsured Vehicle. The New Jersey State Police later responded to investigate the hit and run traffic accident that occurred on the Garden State Parkway Southbound Exit at Forked River.
DUI (Arrest) – On Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 5:23 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler conducted a traffic stop on Briar Road near Hemlock Drive in Lanoka Harbor. Officer Michael Verwey responded to assist. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 33-year-old Wayne Marion Jr. of Hemlock Drive in Lanoka Harbor, for DUI. Wayne Marion was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Refusal to Submit to Breath Testing, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe (Arrest) – On Friday, April 10, 2015, at 4:31 p.m., Officers Michael Hein and John Simonson responded to the 700 block of Tappan Street in Forked River for a report of a vehicle running with the driver inside passed out. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 40-year-old Donna Shaffery of Sequoia Court in Barnegat, NJ, for DUI and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Donna Shaffery was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. In addition, she was issued traffic summonses for DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle Donna Shaffery was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI and Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 5:00 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler, Officer Michael Verwey, and Sergeant Paul Sullivan, Jr. responded to Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a male subject causing a disturbance. Investigation at the location led to the arrest of 25-year-old Noah Trengrove of Route 9 in Bayville for DUI and Heroin. Noah Trengrove was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. Noah Trengrove also was charged on traffic summonses with DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle Noah Trengrove was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

DUI (Arrest) – On Friday, April 3, 2015, at 12:36 a.m., Officer Michael Verwey conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 South near Taylor Lane in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 40-year-old Christine Nelson of Flintlock Drive in Barnegat, NJ, for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charge with DUI, Refusal to Submit to Breath Samples, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Observe Traffic Signal. The vehicle Christine Nelson was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI (Arrest) – On Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 3:15 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the parking lot of Family Dollar located at 776 Lacey Road in Forked River for a report of a female driver “passed out” behind the wheel with an infant in the car. Officer Frederick Anderson responded to assist. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 36-year-old Linette Romeo of Circle Drive in Forked River for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged on traffic summonses with DUI and Reckless Driving. She was also charged on a criminal complaint with DUI with a Minor Passenger in the Vehicle. The vehicle Linette Romeo was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. The infant was turned over to the custody of a family member pending an investigation by DCP&P.

Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 60-year-old Stephen Gabriel of Williams Avenue in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and issued traffic summonses for DUI, Refusal to Provide Breath Samples, Reckless Driving, and Speeding. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s law.
DUI (Arrest) – On Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 10:20 a.m., Officers Frederick Anderson and Elton Copes responded to Wawa, located at 800 Lacey Road in Forked River, for a report of a suspicious person. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 50-year-old Denis Gullo of Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and issued traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Exhibit a Valid Insurance Card. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI (Arrest) – On Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 3:56 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey and Officer Brian Hold responded to the Wawa, located at 701 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, NJ, for two males reportedly preparing to fight. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 51-year-old Karl Herkert of Key Largo Court in Bayville, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged on traffic summonses with DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI (Arrest) – On Friday, March 20, 2015, at 6:51 a.m., Officers Darrell Nick and Patrick Watkins responded to the area of Route 9 for a report of an aggressive driver traveling southbound on Route 9 from Berkeley Township. The vehicle was located traveling south on Route 9 and officers observed the vehicle being operated recklessly. The vehicle was stopped on the 400 block of Route 9 South in the Lanoka Harbor section of the township. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver identified as 53-year-old John J. Santo of Frederick Drive in Bayville, NJ for DUI. He was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters, processed, and charged on traffic summonses with DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle John J. Santo was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI (Arrest) – On Monday, March 16, 2015, at 9:04 p.m., Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas and Officer Jason Lee responded to Caffrey’s Tavern located at 440 Route 9 South in Forked River in reference to a minor motor vehicle accident in the parking lot. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 58-year-old Wayne Grosjean of Forked River for DUI. Wayne Grosjean was transported to Lacey Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples. His vehicle was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI (Arrest) – On Thursday, March 5, 2015, at 6:38 p.m., Officer John Simonson and Officer Christopher Meyler responded to the Wawa Parking Lot, located at 701 Route 9 N, Lanoka Harbor, for a motor vehicle accident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 44-year-old Colleen Gerdes-Fairbanks of Pensacola Road in Forked River for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged on motor vehicle summonses with DUI, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, and Refusal to Submit to Breath Tests. The vehicle was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI (Arrest) – On Thursday, March 5, 2015, at 2:56 p.m., Officers Daniel Ricciardella and Evan Androcy responded to the Wawa parking lot, located at 701 Route 9 N, Lanoka Harbor, for a man possibly impaired in his running motor vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 31-year-old Brian Dimaria of Bonair Drive in Brick, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged on motor vehicle summonses with DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI (Arrest) – On Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at 2:56 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella and Officer Evan Androcy responded to Route 9 and Second Street in Forked River in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 59-year-old Joseph Zlotek of Maxim Drive in Lanoka Harbor for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Joseph Zlotek was served with traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Refusal to Submit to Breath Tests. The vehicle was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
DUI (Arrest) – On Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at 6:40 a.m., Officers Scott Keefe and John McKee responded to the 1800 block of Lakeside Drive South in Forked River for a possible one-car motor vehicle accident. The caller reported the vehicle went off the road and entered into the woods. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 24-year-old Cory White of Camden Drive in Whiting, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Cory White was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
