Carlos Eduardo Angulo
Portland – 08/25/13 — This morning, Sunday August 25, 2013, at 2:41 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to Southeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Southeast Clay Street on the report of a traffic crash.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and treated both drivers, 55-year-old Carlos Eduardo Angulo and 37-year-old Zachary Smith. Both were transported to Portland hospitals for treatment. Smith’s injuries were more substantial than Angulo’s but neither suffered life-threatening injuries.

Officers determined that Angulo was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and after his release from the hospital he was booked into jail.

Smith remains in a Portland hospital with traumatic injuries.

Angulo was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Assault in the Second Degree, DUII and Reckless Driving. He will be arraigned on Monday.
