04/24/2014 —Driving under the influence charges have been filed in connection with a fatal collision that occurred in the early morning hours of April 13 in the Myrtle Beach area.

Austin Blake Leroy, 18, of the 5900 block of Rosewood Drive, has been charged with felony DUI, great bodily injury results; felony DUI, death results and possession of 28 grams or less of marijuana or 10 grams or less of hash, according to arrest warrants obtained byMyHorryNews.com.

The warrants were served April 13. Leroy was booked at J. Reuben Long Detention Center on April 18 and released the following day on $30,620 bond, according to county jail records.

Leroy is due back in court on Sept. 5, according to the Horry County Public Index.

Sgt. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Patrol confirmed by telephone Tuesday that the arrest warrants were served in connection with a collision reported around 3 a.m. April 13 at Dick Pond Road and Strand Drive.
