BEAUMONT -A Beaumont police officer is charged with driving while intoxicated, and 12News has learned that he has been suspended with pay pending an investigation. Officer Richard Rovera is out of jail on a $10,000 bond. A trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety pulled him over at around 7 p.m. June 15.  The traffic stop happened at the intersection of 60th Street and Jade Avenue in Port Arthur.
