A Winchester man charged with killing a driver while intoxicated on Jan. 1, 2020 was convicted of child pornography charges in 2013 in Winchester, Virginia, according to court records. Cody Wade Braithewaite, of Winchester, is now incarcerated in the Eastern Regional Jail in West Virginia facing his third DUI arrest in that state along with felony DUI death charges.

MARTINSBURG — A Winchester, Virginia, man is alleged to have caused a three-vehicle accident while driving under the influence, which resulted in the death of a woman on New Year’s Day.

Cody Wade Braithwaite, 32, was arrested by deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and charged with DUI with death, fleeing DUI, prohibited person in possession of a firearm and fugitive from justice, according to Berkeley County Sheriff Curtis Keller.
