NORTH BEAVER, Pa. – Police have charged a 19-year-old man with drunken driving and vehicular homicide in connection with a crash that
killed his brother earlier this year.
State troopers in New Castle said 22-year-old Sean O’Hara died on the morning of June 24 when the pickup truck he was in hit a utility pole and flipped.
The driver, Ryan O’Hara, lost control of the vehicle on Route 168 near Benedict Lane at about 10:30 a.m., police said.
Neither brother was wearing a seatbelt, according to police. Sean O’Hara was ejected and killed, and Ryan O’Hara was flown to a hospital.
Police said Ryan O’Hara’s blood-alcohol content was more than three times the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent. …MORE
